President’s Advisory Council
Jeanne Watson Driscoll, PhD, PMHCNS-BC
Clinical Nurse Specialist and Author
Jeanne Watson Driscoll, PhD, PMHCNS-BC is a Board Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult psychiatric-mental health. She is President and owner of JWD Associates, Inc., as well as a member of The Mica Collaborative in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She provides psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy for women who experience mood and/or anxiety disorders through the childbearing years.
Dr. Driscoll received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from the University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware; Master of Science Degree in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing at Boston College, Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and Doctorate in Nursing at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut. Dr. Driscoll is Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
She is co-author with Deborah Sichel, MD of Women’s Moods: What every woman must know about hormones, the brain, and emotional health. (1999) New York: William Morrow Publishers. She is known for her videos “Postpartum: A Bittersweet Experience”; “Breastfeeding: Better Beginnings”; “Fragile Beginnings: Understanding postpartum mood and anxiety disorders”; “Taking Care of Mom”; and “Staying Sane”. She is co-author with Cheryl Tatano Beck, DNSc, CNM, FAAN, 2006 by Jones and Bartlett entitled, Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders: A clinicians’ guide. (2006) Jones and Bartlett Publishers. The book was awarded Book of the Year by the American Journal of Nursing.
Dr. Driscoll is a member of the American Nurses Association, The Massachusetts Association of Registered Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau, AWHONN, NASPOG, The American Psychiatric Nurses Association and is listed in various Who’s Who Directories.
