Role with PSI:

My role as PSI’s Development Chair is to actively seek funding sources for PSI programs and operations through private donations, grant opportunities, and corporate or foundation sponsorship of PSI projects.

Bio:

With a keen sense of the challenges facing the nonprofit world, Parmelee Consulting Group, Inc. subcontractor Amy Tobias draws from her extensive experience in the nonprofit sector. Amy is a detail-oriented individual who has excellent project management skills and is a highly effective communicator.

Prior to joining Parmelee Consulting, Inc., Amy was a Vice President of Nonprofit Communications and Sr. Account Manager at Hirons & Company Advertising and Public Relations. During her 5 years at Hirons, Amy’s marketing and communications management included oversight of integrated marketing campaigns for the Indiana Investment Watch program with the Indiana Office of the Secretary of State, the Indiana Office of Tourism Development as well as AT&T and Verizon’s Telephone Assistance Campaign.

In addition to her positions at Hirons and American Red Cross, Amy has served in leadership roles for Andersen Consulting, Buffalo Bisons Baseball Inc. and the West Virginia University Foundation.
A native of New York, Amy earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from West Virginia University and a master’s degree in nonprofit management from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

Amy currently serves on the board of the Peace Learning Center and is a member of the United Way of Central Indiana’s Campaign Cabinet. She is a 2008 graduate of the United Way’s Leadership United Ardath Burkhart Leadership Series and participated in the 2008 Lacey Leadership Association’s Opportunity Indianapolis program. She has also served on numerous boards of directors and marketing committees, including the Lawrence Township School Foundation, Alliance of Professional Women, Mothers & More, Diamond Pointe Property Owners Association and the Randall L. Tobias Foundation.
