Role with PSI:

My primary responsibility as treasurer is to manage the finances of the organization. It is my duty to ensure that proper financial records and procedures are maintained. I assist with the preparation of the annual budget and audit and am available to the board and members on any related financial issues. Claire Van Blaricum and I, as board members residing in the Santa Barbara area, are the immediate supervisors of PSI office administrator, Devani Stumpf.

Current Projects:

I look forward to supporting the work of our Santa Barbara office manager and working on additional projects with our immediate past treasurer, Kathy Piasecki.

Bio:

Nonprofits have been my mainstay over the years. I started as a social worker with Los Angeles County and then worked with United Way providing information and referral and research. Then children and grad school at UCLA with an M.S. in Library and Information Science followed by a position at the Rand Corporation. When our children were in college, we migrated 90 miles north of our home in Santa Monica to Santa Barbara where my husband, an electrical engineer, established a technical recruiting company. I had the opportunity in Santa Barbara to work for Pacifica Graduate Institute, a graduate school of psychology as library director and a state-funded library resource-sharing organization. In addition, I had the great fortune to get to know PSI’s founder, Jane Honikman, and learn about her invaluable work.
