En respuesta al reciente panel de discusión de la FDA sobre el uso de antidepresivos durante la gestación, PSI reafirma la importancia de los inhibidores selectivos de la recaptación de serotonina (SSRI, por sus siglas en inglés) como parte del tratamiento efectivo de los trastornos de salud mental perinatal.
